Summer in Amsterdam
Kwaku Summer Festival
12 July – 3 August
Every summer weekend, Nelson Mandelapark turns into the ultimate neighborhood hangout. The Kwaku Festival brings together Amsterdam’s rich cultural mix with delicious food from all over the world, live music, dancing, and even football matches. Make sure to catch Pink Kwaku on July 27—a beautiful celebration of love, pride, and good vibes.
PRIDE
26 July – 3 August
Pride in Amsterdam is more than a party—it’s a city-wide celebration of love in every color. With over 300 events, from street raves and art shows to film nights and drag brunches, the energy is nonstop. The highlight? The iconic Canal Parade on August 2, where boats turn into floating stages and the whole city shows up to celebrate who you are, just as you are.
Grachten Festival
15 – 24 August
Classical music with an Amsterdam twist. For ten days, the city’s canals, courtyards, and hidden gems turn into stages for young, talented musicians from around the world. The Grachtenfestival brings timeless sounds to unexpected spots, giving your summer nights a soundtrack that’s anything but ordinary.
SAIL
20 – 24 August
It’s been a decade since the tall ships last sailed into town—thanks, Covid—and now they’re back, bigger than ever. SAIL Amsterdam only happens once every five years, and this edition is extra special: the city is also celebrating its 750th birthday. Expect towering ships, buzzing harbors, live performances, fireworks, and the kind of festive energy that takes over the whole city. This one’s going to be unforgettable.
