MEET OUR FRIENDS
We collaborate with innovative artists and brands to make your stay at Max Brown that much more special. You’ll see what we mean in the details, like the art in your room, the illustrations on your key card and the plastic-free toothbrush for sale at the front desk. You can even take the cosy feeling home with you on your feet.
HEROES ON SOCKS
We partnered with the experts of Heroes on Socks to create the most comfortable socks out there in Max Brown’s signature colours. Find them at all our hotels in the Netherlands and Germany as well as online for €9.99.
Seattle-based illustrator Kelly Bjork created all of the adorable Max Brown illustrations you can find all over our hotels and online presence. She describes her style as “simple and deliberate,” and we couldn’t agree more.
To reduce plastic and promote Amsterdam’s extremely clean tap water, we collaborated on a custom reusable water bottle with Jerry Bottle. They put 100% of their profits back into clean drinking water projects all over the world.
BAMBOO BRUSH SOCIETY
We designed a custom, biodegradable bamboo toothbrush with the Bamboo Brush Society to reduce the use of plastic toothbrushes. They contribute 1% of sales to nonprofit organizations dedicated to protecting the environment.
GINO BUD HOITING
If you’ve been to Max Brown Canal District or Museum Square, you’ve seen the incredible illustrations by local Amsterdam artist Gino Bud Hoiting. His playful, clean designs are filled with local references that guests enjoy deciphering.
Amsterdam’s Marie Wanders is the talented photographer behind all of our brand photography in both Berlin and Amsterdam. She’s worked with such brands as KesselsKramer, Volkskrant magazine, PS Parool, Vandejong and FOCUS magazine.
Kat Klerks is one of our favourite Amsterdam-based artists. Her abstract work is on display in several rooms at Max Brown Canal District, and you’ll see it at more of our properties soon.
Vejuice is a Düsseldorf-based juice company created by Vanessa, a local who regularly teaches yoga classes at Max Brown Midtown. The goal of Vejuice is to help you get the most out of life.
The Dorf is a local Düsseldorf magazine that features the best happenings going on in the city, and you’ll always find an issue in your check-in gift bag at Max Brown Midtown.
STOOKER SPECIALTY COFFEE
We pride ourselves on offering the basics at their absolute best, which is why Max Brown Canal District only serves Stooker Specialty Coffee, an Amsterdam-based roasting company that takes pride in creating a simply perfect cup of joe.
We love this Amsterdam-made nut butter because it’s palm oil-free, locally conscious and, of course, absolutely delicious. Find it at Amsterdam’s Canal District and Museum Square as well as Düsseldorf’s Midtown.
When you stay at Max Brown, not only can you bring your pup, but you can also donate €1 to Four Paws, an international organisation committed to protecting and rescuing animals. Learn more about their amazing efforts on their website.
