It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Our cities of Berlin, Düsseldorf, Vienna and Amsterdam have the world’s best Christmas markets, and we made you a list of where to go and what to do to help you and your loved ones make the most of the holiday season. Happy Holidays from Max Brown!

Gendarmenmarkt (Ends 31 Dec)

This posh market is located at one of the most beautiful squares in Berlin. Culinary and atmospheric, Gendarmenmarkt covers all your German Christmas cravings.

Charlottenburg Palace (Ends 26 Dec)

Located close to Max Brown Ku’Damm in the heart of Charlottenburg, about 250 vendors sell nostalgic Christmas crafts such as nativity figures and tree decorations at this traditional market.

Heissa Holzmarkt (Ends 23 Dec)

The alternative Christmas market right by the Spree River and the famous Holzmarkt area offers something for everyone: DJ sets, fairy tale houses, food and lots of glitter!

Craft Market at Marktplatz (Ends 30 Dec)

One of the hippest and most beautiful Christmas markets is located right in front of the historic Düsseldorf Town Hall. Ride the 100-year-old carousel, get some white mulled wine and try a crispy tarte flambee.

DEG Winterworld (Ends 27 Jan)

The Christmas market on Corneliusplatz at Hofgarten is one of the city’s highlights. Ice skate or curl on the gorgeous rink, then go to Füchschen-Altbier’s large alpine hut for German fare.

Benrather (Ends 23 Dec, weekends only)

This relatively new Christmas market is located in Benrath Castle Park and it is definitely worth a visit. Shop the unusual Christmas market stalls and enjoy an incredible cup of cocoa at the castle’s café.

Ice*Village (14—16 Dec)

Museum Square turns into Ice*Village, a winter wonderland with an ice-skating rink and surrounding market. Browse the stalls, play a game of human bowling on the rink and get poffers from the Pofferdikkie food truck.

Sissy-Boy Christmas Market (15 Dec)

This adorable little market comes to Amsterdam North for one day, and there’s plenty of stands to get last-minute Christmas gifts for your loved ones. Be sure to visit our friends Heroes on Socks.

Amsterdam Winterparadijs (21—30 Dec)

The RAI conference venue transforms into a giant Christmas market with everything you need for the season: ice skating, snow tubing, cross-country skiing, snowball fighting, a Ferris Wheel and countless food and craft stalls.

Karlsplatz (Ends 23 Dec)

The historical Karlsplatz, located in the heart of the city centre, is transformed into an outdoor art exhibition. Buy a handmade ceramic mug at LEIDL and grab yourself a delicious feurerzangenbowle at Pour Jahani.

Schönbrunn (Ends 26 Dec)

Visit the lovely Christmas market filled with handmade gifts near the stunning Schönbrunn Palace. Walk up to Gloriette for an amazing view of the city along with a freshly made punsch in your hands.

Spittelberg (Ends 23 Dec)

Stroll through the old Spittelberg area of Vienna and get inspired by the architecture. This yearly Christmas market is known for a lot of young, independent brands and artists who sell extraordinary Christmas gifts.
